Determination of exchangeable ions in clay by the method of isotopic exchange

Abstract: A method for the detn. of the exchangeable Ca in natural bentonite and in the Ca form of bentonite from Fintice was described. By applying a radioisotope of high initial specific activity, an exchangeable ion present in polyionic form in clays can be detd. without affecting the day-water system.
