The preparation and fungicidal activity of a series of 1-[(3-arylisoxazolin-5-yl or isoxazol-5-yl)methyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazoles

Abstract: The synthesis and fungicidal activity of a novel series of 1-[(3-arylisoxazolin-5-yl)methyl]-1 H-1, 2, 4-triazoles V and 1-[(3-arylisoxazol-5-yl)methyl]-1-H-1, 2, 4-triazoles VI are discussed. The preparation of V and VI was straightforward and highlighted by a regiospecific 1, 3-dipolar cycloaddition of substituted benzonitrile oxides II with 1-allyl- (III) or 1-propargyl-1 H-1, 2, 4-triazole (IV).
