Phase diagram of the system LiF—NaF—KCl

Abstract: The phase diagrams of the 2-component system NaF-KCl and of the 3-component system LiF-NaF-KCl were reinvestigated using the classical thermal anal. method. The quasi-binary system NaF-KCl is a simple eutectic system. The coordinates of the eutectic point are NaF 27, KCl 73 mol%, t_E = 657°. The system LiF-NaF-KCl has one ternary eutectic point at LiF 38, NaF 38, KCl 24 mol%, t_E = 599°. The exptl. results are compared with theor. calcns.
