Isothiocyanates and their synthetic producers. XIV. Synthesis and spectral properties of 1,5-disubstituted dithiobiurets and of their cyclization products with aldehydes and ketones

Abstract:  The synthesis of dithiobiurets substituted in positions 1 and 5 by aromatic and/or alicyclic substituents was studied. Cyclization of these compounds with aldehydes and ketones in glacial acetic acid led to the formation of substituted l,3,5-triazine-2,4-dithiones. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by i.r. and u.v. spectrometry.
