Abstract:  The chelate forming properties of PHEDTA (phenylethylendiaminetetraacetic acid) were investigated with the aid of potentiometrically determined pK values, logarithms of stability constants of complexes with alkali earth metal ions, Cd and Cu, as well as with the aid of polarographically determined stability constants of complexes with lanthanides and Cu, Pb, Zn, Co and Mn.
