An apparatus for accelerated differential thermal analysis in a controlled atmosphere

Abstract: The construction of the app. is described. On 4 samples, gypsum, magnesite, limestone, and dolomite, in air, under partial vacuum, and in a CO2 current, the effect of the medium on the decompn. reactions and on the shape of the accelerated thermal analysis curves was studied and compared with a classical case. If the analysis is conducted under partial vacuum and in the medium of the decompn. gas, the presence of the definite medium increases the identification possibilities of the method.
