The determination of the degree of branching in polyethylene by infrared spectra

Abstract: A method for pressing in the prepn. of polyethylene films for infrared spectrography is described. The absorption bands for Me and methylene groups suitable for the evaluation of the degree of branching were detd. The degree of branching was calcd. from the extinctions of absorption bands.
