The complex matter in therapeutics of iron

Abstract: Ferroniconate of the possible structural formula: crystallizes with 2 mol. of H2O which are lost at 110°. It is very resistant to oxidation and has a very rapid therapeutic effect. The hemoglobin is increased more than with any other Fe therapeutic prepn. if exptl. anemia is developed. It is also very effective if dissolved in tartaric, citric, or ascorbic acid. The solns. are also very resistant to oxidation.
