Abstract:

It is known that the main difference between the aerobic oxidation of oils, fats and their derivatives in vitro and in vivo lies in the different effects of diffusion processes, primarily the transport of oxygen into the reaction medium. It is unthinkable to imagine oxidation in a living cell as a "classic chain reactions", without control of diffusion processes. Previously, we showed that the diffusion processes at the column-type reactor caused a number of specific features of the process. In this paper, it has been summarized the kinetic data on aerobic oxidation of fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) of vegetable oils containing mono-, di- and three- unsaturated acid esters in different ratios under strong influence of the diffusion of oxygen. Defined general scheme of aerobic oxidation process reflects general directions of formation and consumption of components. On the basis of the revealed scheme of various reactions, the kinetic regularities of the consumption and formation of substances were revealed. They can be used to obtain information of the nature of the reactions constituting the combined process of aerobic oxidation of FAMEs. Simulation of the process by system of differential equations allowed to determine individual constants of reaction rates.
