Chemical and Electrochemical Isolation of A1N and MnS Precipitates from Fe—3 % Si Steels

Abstract: The aim of the presented paper is the analysis of the chemical composition of the precipitates in Fe-3 % Si steels with the emphasis on AlN and MnS particles. It is shown that the ratio between the Al and Mn contents in extracted particles depends on the chemical composition of the matrix (total amount of Al, N, and S). The results are compared using the electron microscopy analysis.
