Phase Diagrams of the Ternary System Na₃AIF₆—Na₃FS0₄—Na₂S0₄ and Its Thermodynamic Analysis

Abstract: Experimental data on solid-liquid phase equilibria in the binary systems Na₃AIF₆-Na₃FSO₄, Na₃AIF₆-Na₂SO₄, Na₃FSO₄-Na₂SO₄ and the ternary system Na₃AIF₆-Na₃FSO₄-Na₂SO₄ are presented. A model of molten salt mixtures based on the assumption of the existence of ionic pairs was applied to these systems. The temperatures of primary crystallization of Na₃AIF₆, Na₃FSO₄, and Na₂SO₄ were calculated. A good agreement between the experimental and calculated data was achieved.
