New Unexpected Products during Heteroannulation of 1,4-Naphthoquinone Derivatives

Abstract: A series of substituted heterocyclic 1,4-naphthoquinones as naphthothiazoles, dinaphthopyridines, benzoindoles, benzoquinolines, naphthoimidazoles, naphthoimidazolines, and benzothioxoquinazoline were synthesized from 2-alkylamino-1,4-naphthoquinone. The structures of these products were established by means of spectral data. Some of these compounds were unexpected.
