Furan-derivatives .199. Preparation and nucleophilic-substitution reactions of ethyl-ester of 4-bromo-3-(2-furyl)-2-butenoic acid

Abstract: In the paper, preparation of ethyl ester of 4-bromo-3-(2-fury1)-2-butenoic   acid is described and also its nucleophilic substitution reactions with the oxygen nucleophiles. IR, UV, and 1I-1 NMR spectra of the compounds prepared are discussed.
