Structure of the reaction product of α,β-dichloro-β-formylacrylic acid with phenylhydrazinium chloride

Abstract: By the reaction of α,β-dichloro-β-formylacrylic acid with phenylhydrazinium chloride, the phenylhydrazone of α,β-dichloro-β-formylacrylic acid is formed. Its structure was proved by IR, UV, ¹H- and ¹³C-NMR and mass spectra.
