Synthesis and tuberculostatic properties of S-alkyl 2-(α-naphthothiazolyl)dithiocarbamates

Abstract: S-Alkyl-2-(α-naphthothiazolyl)dithiocarbamates inhibited growth of the tuberculostatic-sensitive Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain H₃₇R_v and the resistant strain M. tuberculosis INH. S-alkyl-2-mercapto-6-benzothiazolyldithiocarbamates were also active against M. tuberculosis H₃₇R_v. The structure of the amine did not affect the biol. activity of the mol.
