Chemiluminescence Accompanying the Decomposition of Dibenzoyl Peroxide in Pyridine

Abstract:  In this paper the chemiluminescence accompanying the thermal decomposition of dibenzoyl peroxide in pyridine has been studied. I t has been found that the temporal course of the intensity of chemiluminescence corresponds to the rate of dibenzoyl peroxide decomposition and that it is possible to base on this phenomenon a method for kinetic study of the above reaction.
