Resazurin, an indicator for stannometric titrations in alkaline medium

Abstract: 0.5% aqueous solution of resazurin Na salt was found to be a convenient indicator for the stannometric determination of [Fe(CN)₆]^3-, Cr₂O₇^2-, Hg²⁺_, Hg⁺, (PtCl₆)^2- and Os0₄ with SnCl₂ in glycerol —ethanol at pH 9—12. The point of equivalence of the reactions under study is also detectable potentiometrically.
