Solvent selectivity in liquid model systems 1-hexene-benzene-solvent. II. Selectivity of water-containing solvent

Abstract: The selectivity and capacity of some water containing solvents was examined in model systems with a pair of hydrocarbons 1-hexene — benzene. The solvent properties were calculated on the basis of the measured equilibrium data liquid—liquid at 25°C. The group of solvents under investigation consistent of six-reagents: dimethylsulfoxide, sulfolane, JV-monomethylformamide, A7-methylpyrrolidone, dimethylformamide and morpholine.
