Lattice constants and space symmetry group of 1,1'-[α,α'-diketo-γ-(2-thienyl)pentamethylene] ferrocene

Abstract: 1,1'-[α,α'-diketo-γ -(2-thienyl)pentamethylene]ferrocene crystallizes in an orthorhombic system with the lattice constants a = 11.98 ± 0.01 Å, b = 21.97 ± 0.02 Å, с = 5.78 ± ± 0.01 Å. The space symmetry group D₂⁴ = P2₁2₁2₁ , the specific gravity found: 1.616 g cm^-3 , calculated: 1.580 g cm^-3 , the number of molecules in the individual cell Z = 4.
