Determination of 3,4-benzopyrene, anthranthrene, and 1,12-benzoperylene in solid particles of exhaust gases

Abstract: A fluorescence spectrographic method for the detn. of 3,4-benzopyrene (I), anthanthrene (II), and 1,12-benzoperylene (III) in solid particles of exhaust gases and in prepd. mixts. is described. The temp. of liquid N and n-heptane as a solvent were applied after a simple chromatographic sepn. on a thin layer of Al₂O₃ and acetylated cellulose. In fluorescent spectra for detn. of I, a line 4031, for II, a line 4416 and for III, a line 4198 A. were used. The relative error in all detns. was below 8.3%.
