Spectrographic determination of beryllium in silicates

Abstract: The detn. of 0.0005-0.08% Be directly from the powd. material was described. A buffer contg. SrSO₄, powd. C, and feldspar and Ba as intermol. standard is added into a small crater of a C electrode; it is burned with the sample in an a.c. arc and recorded on a medium or high dispersion spectrograph. The lines Be I 2348 and Ba 2347 A. were measured (Alekseeva and Rusanov, CA 51, 14473h).
