Abstract: With 3-part copper vibrating electrodes the dependence of the intensity of arc and spark lines of Fe present in CaCO3,the dependence of the ratio of their intensity to the intensity of the continuous background, and the dependence of the temp. and the degree of Fe ionization on the interelectrode distance were studied. By detg. axial parameters the axial arrangements of concns. of un-ionized and ionized atoms were calcd. The intensity and sensitivity of arc spectral lines increases with the interelectrode distance; with spark spectral lines the conditions are opposite.
