Polarographic study of the kinetics of substituted reactions of chromium(III) with anions of organic acids

Abstract: Kinetics of the penetration of anions of succinic, adipic, and glutaric acids into the coordination sphere of hexaaquo-Cr(III) was studied by a polarographic method. The reaction was investigated in relation to pH, temp., ionic strength, and the concn. of the org. anion. The results were evaluated according to the mechanism developed by Hamm (H., et al., C.4 53, 3971d). Reaction of anions of these acids with the ammine-Cr(III) complex does not occur.
