The effect of inhibiting material in the determination of vitamin B12

Abstract: There was studied the elimination of the material inhibiting detn. of vitamin B₁₂ in fermentation medium of Streptomyces olivaceus. The medium was composed of distiller's wheat solubles and yeast-manufg. waste. By a statistical evaluation of vitamin B₁₂ detns. with Escherichia coli M-200 and M-113-3 the inhibiting effect was found to be eliminated.
