Infrared absorption spectra of esters of trans-9-octadecenoic (elaidic) acid

Abstract: Esters of elaidic acid (I) were prepd. and their phys. and chem. consts. and infrared absorption spectra detd. Only the iso-Pr-, 2-ethoxyethyl, and benzyl esters showed marked differences in spectra. A qual. identification was not possible.
