The determination of active chlorine and its stability in chlorinated egg albumin

Abstract: The chlorination of egg albumin with active Cl in H₂O soln. is described. The amt. of active Cl in washed and dried substrate at various times during chlorination was detd. It decreased with increasing time, temp., and alky. of the reaction medium.
