The reaction of pentachlorophenol with 4-aminoantipyrine

Abstract: A micromethod is described for the detn. of pentachlorophenol (I). Colorless (NH₄)₂S₂O₈ was used for oxidation and Na₂CO₃ (cf. Gottlieb and Marsh, C.A. 40, 12699) for pH. The antipyrine coloring of I is blue.
