Characteristics of chlorine in chlorolignin. I

Abstract: The reaction kinetics of Cl cleavage from chlorinated lignin in H₂O and Na₂CO₃ soln. is studied. Cl is bound to aliphatic groups and it is very, medium, or slowly reactive, depending on the C to which it is bound and on the functional side groups.
