Hydrotropic systems

Abstract: Soly., sp. gr., and viscosity of solns. of caffeine in H₂O solns. of sodium benzoate at different mol. concns. at 20° and the changes by increasing temp. were studied. The thixotropic system caffeine-Na salicylate-H₂O has a pseudoplastic character. The measured phys.-chem. values depend on the structure of hydrotropic systems.
