R.ovrddot.ontgenographic analysis of crystal structure of tetrametatolyltin and tetrametatolyllead

Abstract: A method of rotating crystal was used. The basic prism of both compds. is tetragonal with the dimensions for Sn(C₆H₄CH₃)₄ (I): a = 17.23 ± 0.02 A., c = 8.25 ± 0.02 A., for Pb(C₆H₄CH₃)₄ (II): a = 17.36 ± 0.02 A., c = 8.33 ± 0.03 A. I has r.ovrddot.ontgenometric d. 1.31; II, 1.51. Coeff. for compressibility is for I -0.647, for II 0.635. The basic prism has 4 mols. and its cleavage group is C64h - I41/a. Symmetry of mol. is considerably reflected in symmetry of crystal.
