Isothiocyanates. XXXIII. Synthesis and infrared spectra of benzothiazolyl isothiocyanates

Abstract: The synthesis of 2-(X-phenyl)-5-benzothiazolyl isothiocyanates, 4-benzothiazolyl)-, 3-(2-benzothiazolyl)-, and 4-(6-methyl-2-benzothiazolyl)phenyl isothiocyanates is described. The infrared spectra of the synthesized compounds were interpreted in the 1600—1300 and 2200—2000 cm^-1 range.
