Ion-exchange equilibriums of sulfuric acid in a mixed medium

Abstract: The influence of a mixed medium upon the distribution equilibria in the system: strongly acidic cation-exchange resin —sulfuric acid—nonelectrolyte —water has been examined. In the distribution of sulfuric acid, ethanolr and acetic acid between the ion-exchange phase and the external solution, in addition to factors affecting the distribution of the strong and weak electrolyte and nonelectrolyte, also interactions among individual components in the solution are important.
