Abstract: A series of 30 pyridine analogues of 1,3,5-triphenyl-2-pyrazoline was prepared when reacting isomeric azachalcones with Phenylhydrazine or some of its derivatives, 10% tetramethylammonium hydroxide being the catalyst. The structure of the individual compounds were elucidated on the basis of their ultraviolet, infrared and fluorescence spectra.
