The preparation of allylmagnesium bromide

Abstract: The best suitable mole ratios of allyl bromide to Mg (particle size 0.2-0.4 mm.) and allyl bromide to ether in prepn. of CH₂:CHCH₂MgBr (I) were studied. By using mole ratios of allyl bromide 1, Mg 3, and ether 6, 80-82% I was obtained.
