Abstract: A short review on trends in sample handling before HPLC analysis is presented. The paper deals with the use of solid-phase extraction (SPE) for sample preparation. Attention is focused on new polymer hydrophilic-lipophilic balanced sorbents Oasis, immunosorbents, and molecularly imprinted polymers and their application in SPE technique.
