Reaction of macrocyclic complex Cu(TAAB)²⁺ with hydroxylamine

Abstract: The kinetics of the reduction of a copper(II) complex with the macrocyclic ligand tetrabenzo(b,f,j,n)(l,5,9,13)tetraazacyclohexadecine by hydroxylamine has been investigated both in anaerobic and aerobic medium. The results are compared with the parameters of ascorbic acid reaction with Cu(TAAB) ²⁺ and the reaction mechanism is discussed.
