Benzothiazole Compounds. 41. Synthesis of 3-Alkoxycarbonyloxymethyl-2-benzo-thiazolinones

Abstract: The reaction of 3-hydroxymethyl-2-benzothiazolinone with the esters of chloroformic acid afforded 3-alkoxycarbonyloxymethyl-2-benzothiazolinones. When tested on Vicia sativa L., cv. Solarka and Triticum aestivum, several derivatives showed growth-stimulating effects.
