Equilibrium 'solidus-liquidus' in systems with limited solid solutions

Abstract: An equation for the dependence of activities of a given substance in liq. and solid solns. on the temp. of primary crystn. of the substance was developed on the basis of the Planck function. The anal. of the course of the liquidus curve near the melting point of the pure substance shows that the objective difference between the calorimetrically and cryometrically detd. values of the melting enthalpy of the discussed substance is a sufficient (though not necessary) condition for the existence of limited solid solns.
