An adjustment for N. S. Kurnakov's pyrometer

Abstract: A simple device to increase the accuracy of temp. measurement with the photoregistering pyrometer of N. S. Kurnakov. The e.m.f. of the thermocouple is compensated at the median value of the chosen thermal interval. With this arrangement the galvanometer measures steadily in the narrow range around the zero position where the accuracy is highest. At temps. in the interval 700-1100°, the error was decreased from ±5.0 to ±1.0°.
